Walking Toward Justice Episode #2: The Criminal Justice System’s Impact on Walking and Walkability in Low-Income and Communities of Color

In the second episode of our Walking Towards Justice series, we explore the devastating impacts that social injustice within our legal system has had on people of color and low-income communities. Using the text The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness by Michelle Alexander as a framework for the conversation, our panel of experts and advocates discuss discrimination within our criminal justice system and how it intersects with the work (e.g., Vision Zero, safety outreach and education, equitable enforcement, etc.) being done by walkability advocates.
