October 30, 2015- 2015 National Walking Summit Paves the Way to a Walkable America
The 2015 National Walking Summit took place in Washington, DC this week and hosted 500 participants at the premier event taking steps towards creating America a great place to walk. October 28, 2015- America Walks Brings 150 Advocates to Capitol Hill
America Walks, as part of the 2015 National Walking Summit, led the Walk the Hill Day on Capitol Hill Wednesday. Over 150 local advocates visited offices of the US Senate and US House of Representatives to discuss issues of walking and promoting walkable communities for every American. Read more.
May 13, 2015- America Walks Announces Recipients of 25 Walking College Fellowships
After a very competitive selection process, America Walks staff and Walking College Mentors have identified the 2015 recipients of Walking College Fellowships. America Walks is excited to officially begin the Walking College program on Monday June 8.

America Walks is excited to release our new cases studies that highlight how a number of states have been working successfully at the intersection of public health, transportation and commerce, specifically in ways that support walking for all ages and abilities and that foster walkable environments.
November 24, 2014- America Walks Releases New Case Studies on Local Elected Officials
America Walks is excited to launch its newest publication on the innovative approaches local leaders are taking to address the issue of walkability. Recognizing the importance that local leaders play in making meaningful community change, America Walks has produced case studies showcasing four local elected officials and their personal campaigns to improve walkability and increase walking in their home towns.
