Madlyn McAuliffe

Communications Manager

Madlyn McAuliffe (she/her) is a writer and communications professional with a passion for telling compelling stories about walkable, inclusive communities.

In her previous life, she served as Communications Manager for the New Urban Mobility Alliance (NUMO) at the World Resources Institute, where she first delved into the world of equitable, sustainable mobility and transportation policy. She also worked as a communications consultant and producer for Sahasra Deepika Foundation for Education, the National Fallen Firefighters Association, and other clients. She is most proud of writing the short documentary Bee the Future, which received special recognition at the 2018 Chicago South Asian Film Festival and followed two girls in Bangalore, India, as they competed in a spelling bee for a scholarship. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Virginia.

Madlyn lives in very walkable Arlington, Virginia, with her cat (who is an indoor kid). On weekends you can find her exploring local wildlife trails and playing Dungeons & Dragons as her party’s battlemaster/barbarian tank.
