Week Without 2025 Driving Virtual Town Hall

A bus stop sign with a Week Without Driving logo, the website link, and the question what will your week reveal?

America Walks’ Week Without Driving campaign is Monday, September 29 – Sunday, October 5.

For those who can drive or afford a car, it’s easy to forget what it means to depend on walking, rolling, public transit, or asking for rides. But for nearly one-third of people in the U.S. — including people with disabilities, young people, seniors, and families who can’t afford cars or gas — this isn’t a choice. It’s daily life.

Week Without Driving was created to change that perspective. It challenges drivers to experience, even briefly, what nondrivers face every day — the barriers, the limitations, the anxieties, and the resilience required.

Join the growing national movement to break down those barriers and build communities where everyone has the freedom to move safely and independently!
