July 14, 2016- America Walks Hosts “Friends and Allies of the Walking Movement” Webinar
At the 2015 National Walking Summit, keynote speaker Ron Sims reminded us that though we may work as individuals, we are part of a larger walking movement and stronger than we realize. What can we do to expand this movement? July 14, 2016- 2017 National Walking Summit to be Held in St. Paul, MN
America Walks is excited to announce the 2017 National Walking Summit to be held in St. Paul, MN from September 13-15, 2017. After two extremely successful conferences in Washington, DC, we are moving the conference to a city that is embracing livability to give participants an opportunity to explore firsthand the potential of walkable communities.

July 12, 2016- America Walks Hosts State Report Card Webinar
America Walks, in partnership with the Safe Routes to School National Partnership and YMCA of the USA, offered a chance to go back to school and measure the efforts of the walking movement through the recently released 2016 State Report Cards. Watch a recording and learn more here.

July 12, 2016- America Walks Announces Equitable Communities Workshop
America Walks and the Every Body Walk! Collaborative are excited to announce that they will be leading two half-day trainings on building equitable communities at Pro Walk/Pro Bike/Pro Place in Vancouver on September 12th. Each session of this hands-on intensive training will teach participants how to compel and engage the public on issues related to walking and walkable communities using the framework of social justice and equitable communities. Learn more and apply here
