America Walks is excited to announce the 2017 National Walking Summit to be held in St. Paul, MN from September 13-15, 2017. After two extremely successful conferences in Washington, DC, we are moving the conference to a city that is embracing livability to give participants an opportunity to explore firsthand the potential of walkable communities.
July 12, 2016- America Walks Hosts State Report Card Webinar
America Walks, in partnership with the Safe Routes to School National Partnership and YMCA of the USA, offered a chance to go back to school and measure the efforts of the walking movement through the recently released 2016 State Report Cards. Watch a recording and learn more here.
July 12, 2016- America Walks Announces Equitable Communities Workshop
America Walks and the Every Body Walk! Collaborative are excited to announce that they will be leading two half-day trainings on building equitable communities at Pro Walk/Pro Bike/Pro Place in Vancouver on September 12th. Each session of this hands-on intensive training will teach participants how to compel and engage the public on issues related to walking and walkable communities using the framework of social justice and equitable communities.
