March 31, 2017- America Walks Statement on GHSA Report
Walking is on the rise across the U.S., and that’s a great thing. The troubling news? Pedestrian fatalities are also up, according to an disturbing new report released by the Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA) earlier this week. Read our full statement here.

March 30, 2017- New Grant Program Available
America Walks is excited to partner with National Center for Health, Physical Activity and Disability on a new micro grant program for communities looking to create inclusive health. Learn more about the program and check out the application here. Applications due April 28th at 5pm.

March 30, 2017- America Walks and NCHPAD Host Webinar on Designing for Inclusive Health 
America Walks and National Center for Health and Physical Activity and Disability hosted a webinar that looked at the importance of designing communities for all members and explored work being done in New York and Iowa around these efforts. Watch the recording and learn more here. 

March 9, 2017- America Walks Hosts Conversation on Barriers to Walking and Physical Activity
America Walks hosted a webinar on March 8th, 2017 to look at the barriers that exist to walking and physical activity. The “Right to Walk” webinar shared research, resources, and programs from organizations working to make sure every community member has safe, accessible, and enjoyable places to walk and be active. Watch the webinar here.
