I've had a "start excitedly and abruptly stop 2 months later" relationship with fitness for years. I'm 33 years old and have two young children. I decided this past January that enough was ENOUGH (for real this time). I dusted off my Fitbit and aimed for 6,000 steps a day which was a struggle at first. I would alternate between Richard Simmons and 2 miles with Leslie. By week four I pushed myself further and upped to 3 miles with Leslie. I kept praying and pushing and before I knew it I was upping my daily step count to 10,000+ and at least 3 to 4 Walk At Home miles, five times a week. This week I turned over a new leaf and and am getting to 20,000 steps a day!!! I'm down 11 pounds, countless inches, and have signed up for my first 5k in July. I feel amazing! The best part is the amount of energy I have to take my kids on unplanned hikes and to chase them around the playground. The happiness and sheer pride in their faces makes those days where I can just sit on the couch while their at school that much more worth it to get up and WALK!
